“I am passionate about improving financial education in all individuals, but I am particularly interested in helping sportsmen and women, of all levels and ages make smarter decisions with their money and to try and help them put provisions in place for retirement. I’m incredibly excited and privileged to be coming on board with the Next Step Foundation.”
I had played rugby for as long as I can remember, one of my Dad’s favourite stories is how he took me to his rugby club at 2 weeks old. As I grew up I realised that it was the only thing I wanted to do. In June 2009 I was selected to join the Ulster Rugby Academy. For the next eight seasons I played for my hometown club Ulster Rugby and then later Edinburgh Rugby in the Pro-12 League. After 48 caps for Ulster, 34 for Edinburgh and 5 for Emerging Ireland I decided to call time on my career at 26 when a new contract at Edinburgh was not forthcoming. I accepted a position to join the prestigious St. James’s Place Wealth Management Academy in June 2016. The Academy offers training, development and dedicated ongoing support helping people like me to start their own wealth management business and continue to build it into a successful practice.
